    The cost of vanity...

One day a 58-year-old woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital.

While in the operating room, she had a near death experience.

During that time, seeing God she asked, “is my life completed?”

God replied, “no, you have another 34 years to live.”

After recovering from her heart surgery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a face-lift, liposuction and tummy tuck. She even changed her hair color and style.

Finally, she was released from the hospital, looking more like a 40-year-old woman.

Soon thereafter, while crossing the road on her way home, she was killed by a truck.

In heaven, arriving in front of God, she asked, “You said I had another 34 years to live…why didn’t you save me from the truck?”

God replied: “Sorry, I didn’t recognize you!”

So, this begs the question...if God created us in His image, wouldn't altering our looks be like saying that we find God unattractive? Keep the family resemblance.

Only if you love God and yourself can you love others.
