    Concerning Bath Salts -

Bath salts are seriously scary. I'm here visiting my sis and her family in Southern Oregon for a few months now, and I've heard an increasing (and alarming) number of stories from ER doctor and nurse friends about people who unknowingly smoked marijuana laced with bath salts.

It's a tough and terrifying situation because it can result in really strange and aggressive behavior, and the people are almost impossible to sedate or subdue.

And like salvia, it's sold over the counter, which means that many of the teenagers I know think it's okay and "safe". Really, really scary.

Parents, SHARE this info with your kids!

    Correction

Actually, I just found out that bath salts are now illegal in Oregon and everywhere else, for that matter ...though I have a feeling they're still relatively easy to find if you know where to look.

Thank you Hood! I believe in the slogan "STOP THE SILENCE"....the more we educate ourselves, our children, our friends, family and communities about the dangers of these drugs not just street drugs but also ones like the over the counter salts the more lives we will save!!

If we can even save one life, our efforts are worth it! Thank you for sharing!!!

    God Bless!

OH Man, I could write a book!

Yeah, I could write a book!

My rehab center counselor in Abbeville sez that Louisiana got hit REALLY HARD by this s....

She sez that junk makes one of the the worst poison centers have ever seen. The psychosis some users have had is really scary. People high on these drugs have done some really bizarre things to themselves and hurt others around them.

I used to be able to run down to the gas station, or 7-11, or a truck stop, and my friend has found them in head shops and online. I paid anywhere from $20-$50 for a bag that was about 500 milligrams.

It looks like crystalized powder. Some of the stuff was white or brownish, and some of it was speckled. Bath salts - which isn't REALLY bath salts, but its cuz of the way they look. Most people snorted it, and some swallowed it. A few of my froiends even shot up.

The first time I tried it, I ended up in the hospital cuz I took too much. Youre only supposed to take 5-10 ml but I took way too much.

    My dumb luck. Or stupidity.

Oh I meant to tell you, my favorite brand was something called White Lightening. I also had some Hurricane Charlie. But we called them insect repellent and pond scum remover... lol.

If only the bath salts had stayed in our bath tubs...

I think part of the problem might be that people have not developed coping skills to deal with their issues/situations/problems. Instead, they opt to reach for something to mask their pain. Just a wild thought, maybe along with the basic math, reading and English, schools should start including Life 101 classes in their curriculum. I am just saying...

    Personal experience

My friend's son died as a result of bath salts mixed in marijuana. Hallucinating and a friend also on bath salts and was shot in the head by one of them. It was the saddest funeral I had ever been to.
